Architectural Project Manager

Job description

Russell and Dawson Inc., a mid-sized architectural and engineering firm located in East Hartford CT, is seeking qualified architectural project managers to support design projects for new construction, additions, alterations, and code compliance. Applicants must have a solid technical background in a variety of building types from single-family residential to multistory commercial, and in a variety of construction types including wood, steel, masonry, and concrete. They must have exceptional communication skills with the project team, clients, consultants, contractors, and local officials; and be able to identify, manage, and resolve complex issues. The selected applicant will be responsible for existing conditions documentation, architectural design, code compliance, and construction drawings in addition to managing architectural projects. Responsibilities include design and design implementation, construction documents, building systems, bidding, permitting, contract administration and project close out. Required:

  • B.Arch. or M.Arch. From an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an architectural office
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Successful completion of at least one LEED certified project in which the applicant played a key role in design or documentation for certification
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft office products

Desired:

  • Connecticut Architectural License
  • NCARB Certificate
  • LEED GA Certificate
  • Experience with government and commercial clients
  • Experience with aviation projects
